Progressive car insurance company has stamped it’s mark in Cleveland, well at least for the next 16 years. The home of the Cleveland Indians will be changed from Jacobs Field, named in 1994 after the team was purchased by Richard Jacobs, to Progressive field.

Progressive car insurance will pay a massive $3.6 million a year for the rights. Obviously Progressive car insurance hopes that the name Progressive Field will sink into the minds of fans. Progressive car insurance will also be the exclusive car insurance company for the Cleveland Indians.

While $3.6 million may sound like a lot of money, this amount represents only 1% of Progressive car insurance’s annual advertising and marketing budget.
